GTCC Aviation Classroom Building

GTCC is positioned as the leader in a regional trend towards developing partnerships and curriculums focused on aviation training. To further this vision, GTCC challenged ESPA to develop a 40,000-square-foot design that not only would house new classrooms, flight simulators, dispatch labs, and faculty offices, but would also stand out from the warehouses in the area of the new campus in order to express how the aviation campus will be a part of the growing regional aviation industry. The expanded campus strategically positions the College near industry leaders such as Honda Jet and HAECO. In addition to designing the building to address the needs of the aviation industry, GTCC requested that the building be sensitive to the natural environment and energy efficient; to that end the building is USGBC LEED^® Gold certified.
