Currie Building – Moore County
project included the design and construction of a new 3-stop elevator in the center
of the building. In order for the Currie building to be brought up to current
energy, building and HC codes, the scope of work expanded accordingly to
include a new roof, the addition of insulation in walls, a new HVAC system, new
electrical, plumbing renovations, HC accessibility, security and fire alarm
systems. New flooring, ceilings, paint, doors and frames were also included.
Asbestos abatement evaluation and abatement also became part of the scope of
work. After these efficiency upgrades, the Currie Building has experienced a
50% reduction in energy costs!
